I woke up yesterday to the second dark rainy day in a row. Convinced it was the beginning of the weather everyone warned me about I made peace with the drizzle, bundled up and tried to go for a run instead of my usual dog walk. Usually I am able to warm up within a block or two of leaving my house because I start straight up hill but yesterday, I made it two blocks- still frozen- and decided to call it a day. I know. I give up easily. So instead, I came home. Put on more layers, grabbed the dogs and walked while I tried to figure out how I will survive if everyday until May is like this one.
I had to take Pockets to the vet this morning and was dreading that walk all day yesterday thinking it was going to continue to rain. Instead, I woke up to what I think is the most beautiful day yet, albeit the chilliest yet too. I was able to see both mountain ranges and water on our walk to the vet and I know I've said it a lot on this blog but man, I'm really kind of loving it here.
I'm planning on plugging in another ride later today because I unfortunately went to Trader Joe's yesterday and realized all the Christmas things I love are back...
Do not buy those unless you have 7,000 calories to spare in one sitting, or will-power. So I checked the weather for the afternoon and look!
Seattle currently has the best weather of all the places I regularly check. I'm so proud!
Ahhh I'm in love with this view! And our new vet btw- who is way cheaper than any other vet I've been to ironically. (So, Eileen, you can add that to the list of the few things that are actually cheaper in Seattle: including electricity) Apparently heart worm isn't a thing out here either. So no more shelling out $200 per dog, per year, for monthly preventatives. Yay!
